Indica Vaporizer review

The Indica vape is one of the top vaporizers closing out the year.

If you’re in the market for a vaporizer that has is highly camouflaged and charming as hell, the Indica could very well be your weapon of choice.

This handheld vape is small and looks exactly like a Zippo cigarette lighter, but it’s actually a really efficient vaporizer that you can carry around with you anywhere and not have to worry about people knowing that you vape, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

While the heating chamber is not as large as some other vaporizers (it only hold about a quarter gram of dry material), the Indica is efficient enough that it can give you up to 30 drags off a single chamber without having to refill it. Plus, it’s got some sort of high-tech temperature control system that keeps the chamber at the perfect temperature consistently.

Here’s what I have to say in my Indica Vaporizer review.

How it Works

Obviously, the biggest selling point of the Indica is its appearance.

While it’s actually slightly fatter than a real Zippo, nobody is going to know that it’s actually a vaporizer unless they look super close so you can carry it around and even flash it in public without having to worry about getting weird looks from weirdos.

The herb chamber is smaller than some other models, but given this vaporizer’s efficiency, that’s not a problem at all.

It also has LED lights that make it easy to tell when it’s ready to go.

Heat Settings

Indica vaporizer heat settings

The Indica has 5 different heat settings.

The Indica vaporizer has 5 different heat settings so you can choose the one that you like best.

Some people prefer a low, slow burn while others want a hot, fast one. I’m usually somewhere in the middle.

The top temperature of the Indica vaporizer is only 386°F, which is a little lower than what some people like, but given this little number’s efficiency, that’s not that big of a deal.

One thing that might take a little getting used to, however, is the color system (don’t worry – you’ll get a handy temperature chart that will tell you what each color means). The Indica uses a one-touch system that is easy to use once you figure it out.

When you flip open the top, you will see a little button near the mouthpiece (like the pic above).

Hold this button down for a few seconds and the light will start to glow green. To change the colors – blue for cooler, red for hotter – you just double click the button until you get the temperature you want.

PV Pro Tip #1: The temperature you should run the Indica at really depends on the quality of your herb. Green (medium heat setting) is usually where you want to start. When you want to achieve a thicker vapor or burn out all of the product in the chamber, click up to purple or even red. If you want a slower, cooler burn, click down to blue.

Battery Life

The battery on the Indica lasts about two hours before it has to be recharged. Of course, if you have it turned up all the way, the battery will probably run out sooner than that so just keep that in mind when you’re messing with your temperature settings. Two hours is actually a long time when you consider that you are going to be turning it on and off, rather than continually using it for two hours at a time.

PV Pro Tip #2: I noticed that if you wait until the battery is completely dead before you recharge it, the Indica seems to hold a longer charge.

What’s in the Box

Indica portable vaporizer

Where’s the Indica? Pretty friggin’ stealth is right.

Here’s a quick low down on what it comes with:

  • Wood Case
  • Charging Kit
  • Cleaning Kit
  • Brush
  • 4 x Replacement Screens
  • 2 x Vape Picks
  • 3 x Mini Spacers
  • An Extra Chamber Door
  • Wall Charger
  • Instruction Manual

The Indica comes with the vaporizer itself, as well as a charging cable you can plug into a USB port. It has two vape picks, a cleaning brush and a couple of pipe cleaners, which are pretty much all you need to keep it clean and operational.

It also comes with 3 mini spacers you can use to get optimal vapor production when you are packing smaller bowls.

I like that is has a spare chamber door that you can use to keep your herbal mixture contained in the heating chamber.

Finally, it comes with a cool little storage pouch you can use to carry the vaporizer and all of your accessories around with you without having to worry about losing anything.

How to Take Care of It

Because the Indica is so durable, as long as you keep the battery charged and occasionally clean the screens using the vape picks and cleaning brush, you don’t have to worry about much other maintenance.

Final Thoughts and PV Pro Tips

Just because the Indica is small and looks like a harmless little Zippo lighter doesn’t mean it’s can’t dish out a beating.

Yea, it’s a little bit on the upper-priced spectrum just like other quality vapes, but these days the selection of vaporizers that deliver really come down to a handful. The Indica is made the right way and you get what you pay for – that’s what makes it a good product and why I also love it.

It’s lightweight, efficient, evenly heats your herbs so you don’t waste any, super discrete, comes with spacers that help you pack smaller bowls, and the temperature adjustments work great after you get the hang of them.

I also liked the fact that the mouthpiece and heat control are protected when you have it closed, so you don’t have to worry about them being damaged when it’s in your pocket.

Overall, I would recommend the Indica, especially if you’re looking to keep their vape on the hushy hush.
